GI Specialist

Gastroenterology relates to the conditions connected to the digestive system and its disorders. An obstetrician looks after the pre and post-natal care and its various complications monitoring the pregnancy and dealing with some possible intercurrent diseases such as diabetes and hyper-coagulability. Obstetric emergencies include ectopic pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, placental abruption, foetal distress, shoulder dystocia, uterine rupture, prolapsed cord, obstetrical haemorrhage and puerperal sepsis.

A general practitioner specialised in women’s health and in the treatment of the symptoms associated with menopause and the hormonal decreased production of oestrogen and progesterone in the ovaries.
