Dr Maeve Gallagher is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with over 10 years of clinical experience. Her formal qualifications include: MBChB from the University of Dundee, MSc in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Her specialist areas include Acute Labour Ward, Gynaecological Oncology Surgery and Colposcopy. She is a fully qualified Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist registered with the General Medical Council, UK. Within the National Health Service in the UK, she has worked in London, Kent, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Most recently, Dr Maeve has been working with Médecins Sans Frontières Brussels as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Khost, Afghanistan. 

She is a doctor extremely passionate about providing equitable evidence-based healthcare. She has a background in Leadership and Management and was the Chief Resident at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (2019-2020).

Dr Maeve is heavily involved in teaching and training and has completed the IHI (Institute of Healthcare Improvement) Curriculum and a teaching qualification from the University of Glasgow.

Her qualifications, experience, dedication and excellent communication skills equipped her to be select among several applicants to be one of our AGORA Fellows in 2023.
